1.     Differentiate between natural and synthetic fibre?

Natural Fibre	Artificial Fibre
Fibres obtained from Plants and Animals Eg: Cotton, Jute, Silk, Wool	Fibres made by man and also called Synthetic Fibre Eg: Nylon, Rayan, Polyster, Acrylic

2.      What do you understand by the term ginning?

The process of separating seeds and other impurities from the cotton is called ginning.

3.     How is wool obtained from sheep?

Wool is obtained by cutting the thick hair on the sheep’s body.

This process is called shearing.

1.     How can you take care of your clothes?

I wash my clothes regularly with a good detergent.

I dry clean the silk and woolen clothes

I store the clothes in dry place.

I use naphthalene balls to protect the clothes from moths and silverfish.
